About Golden Lion
Spacious twin-roomed Victorian pub with a traditional feel, though most of the interior is of later date. The saloon bar extends deeply to the rear. Has a paved outdoor drinking area at the rear and some seating by the pavement at the front. Refurbished in July 2015 and reopened with an extended range of real ale.

Used to come here regularly for the roast on Sundays but be aware they often don’t serve till 7pm as advertised - I tried at 4.30 today and they’d closed the kitchen already! If you’re willing to be messed about the roasts when they actually serve them are nice.

I will admit...the outside may look a little dated. But once you're inside, I absolutely love this place, I've had a full English x 3 and a basket lunch. The breakfast was delicious with a nice full plate of food. I'm yet to explore the rest of the menu. The staff are friendly and approachable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you, Golden Lion team, for taking my advance orders at lunchtime.😍

I recently attended a party at this pub and had a very bad customer service. As you can all see, I have never given a bad review on Google but I'm extremely saddened and angry at the level of Customer service I have received or should I say haven't received Upon arrival, my friends and I carefully entered our number plate into the parking machine, with one of my friends double-checking the entry. Despite this, I later received a parking ticket, which left me perplexed and frustrated. I contacted Civil Enforcement, the company managing the parking, but they directed me to the pub for…

My favourite pub on Sydenham high road. It’s currently going through a period of rebirth so lots of good things are happening. Bar staff are great and the quiz is class

Very poor service, I was served very low quality beer and they even bother to change it after raising a complaint. Their body language at front wasn’t that welcoming. Probably they don’t like irregular customers or customer with Color.
