About Green Man
Serious American-style burgers from a local chain specialist sold in a traditional pub.
With a W2 postcode but side doors in NW1, this is a mid-Victorian corner pub, rebuilt in 1867 with etched bow windows and a marbled facade. Being adjacent to an underground station and on one of London’s busiest main roads, it has a fair passing trade. This is the oldest surviving licensed premises on Edgware Road, dating from 1720; it now has a backpacker hostel upstairs. Quiz night Wednesdays. Two handpumps; at least one ale is on offer normally and one pump may serve cider. The food offering is largely burgers.
Residents of the hostel & their bona fide guests may drink alcohol at any time, otherwise alcohol is not sold before 10am Monday to Saturday or noon on Sunday. NB the hours given are the bar hours, but at date of this entry the pub has pavement A-boards advertising breakfast from 8am to noon. This is, possibly, summer-only.
The giant Ei pubs group bought a 51% stake in operator PubLove in April 2017.

Absolutely the loveliest staff and brilliant location right on a major tube line. Rooms look to be in the process of some renovation but are clean and comfortable. Nice shower blocks which were very clean. Bunks are 3 high which is a little bit tricky to navigate but it's a hostel, should be expected and for the price not an issue. Great food and drinks with discounts for residents.

The staff were really friendly. I hadn't been to a hostel in years so I found it rather odd but my experience was all in all acceptable. I did enjoy their showers with great water pressure

Personally for me it is not so clean. 2 toilets on the whole floor gets quick dirty. And there is not enough space to sit relaxed. The floors in the room looked dirty too, as if they don't get mobbed.

Stayed there in a 3 sharing room. The room is small but value for money. Bathrooms were clean, the service was great, and the location is perfect - right next to the subway. The only issue is the stairs since they are pretty narrow and steep, and carrying big luggage up and down might be difficult for some. Definitely recommend.

Nice venue and lovely staff, shame about some of the skungy locals of Edgeware Road that used it as a toilet, I’d recommend locking the toilets and getting the key from the bar when needed as these scummy locals ruined the toilets. The bar staff shouldn’t ever have to clean up what they had to do yesterday. Really nice gin and wine
