Formerly the Grosvenor for a few years, this mid-Victorian two bar corner pub had an impressive 1898 function room at the rear staging live music four or five times a week. It was a thriving community local sustained by an energetic and enthusiastic leaseholder whose efforts secured the long awaited reinstatement of real ale in 2009.

Closed on 31 July 2014 and boarded up with a view to residential conversion above, it was granted Asset of Community Value status by Lambeth Council in August 2015 after a successful campaign by local residents, the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and local councillors.

Golfrate had taken over from Punch in 2013 but Hamna Wakaf emerged as the owner fighting the ACV, which remained applicable to the ground floor and cellar only following a First-tier Tribunal hearing in May 2016. Residential conversion above and around was finally allowed by the Planning Inspectorate shamefully overruling Lambeth Councillors' refusal of successive planning applications.

🚇 Stockwell 🍺 £6.00 Paulaner The Grosvenor Arms is located in a residential area on the border between Stockwell and Brixton. The nearest Tube is Stockwell, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This Victorian pub dates from 1867 and closed in 2014 with developers ready to pounce. Thankfully the local community saved the pub but unfortunately the pub had lost its Victorian interior. The Grosvenor reopened its doors in 2019 and now operates as a brew pub, it is the sister pub to The Priory Arms in Stockwell. This is a good size one bar pub that has an eclectic contemporary feel. The…

Absolutely red hot pub with tremendous staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Beer is fairly priced as well as the pizza. Great dough and toppings! You can tell the beer is well kept as everything is fresh and properly served. Staff always keen to help and offer recommendations on their fantastic range of beer. They always offer gluten free and alcohol free options also! Great spot for a quiet game of pool and a couple of fine ales. Always come back here and will do for the foreseeable! Cheers guys!

Good Stockwell pub located between Brixton and Stockwell tube stations. One cask ale and one cider on gravity feed when I last visited. The Affinity Brew Co Grosvenor Gold which I was drinking was a pleasant pint and very good value at £3.95. The Grosvenor also serves about 20 craft beers and is home to the Affinity Brew Co brewery. A few tables outside which can be covered by an awning. The pub offers pizzas between 17:00 and 22:00 every day.

Great pub! nice selection of beer on tap. Not too busy, plenty of space. Decent outside seating area next to the road out front. Music was a bit loud inside but not overwhelming. Bartender was super friendly

Finally paid a visit to this hidden gem down the back roads of Stockwell. Leased by @affinitybrewco from the same owners as excellent @prioryarms83, it's an unreal pub with so much to offer. Once I'd come to grips with the fact I'd been pronouncing it wrong on account of my typo and subsequent autocorrect constantly putting it as Gros-nover, the Grove-nuh felt like a pub from yesteryear but with modern twists. The tayto crisp selection mashed with the 15 different taps of craft beer, the retro arcade machines alongside the pool table that accepts card payments (a separate debate was had…
