About Grove House
Traditional pub serving sandwiches, burgers & Sunday roasts, plus vegan options & cocktails.
An impressive interwar pub reminiscent of a French villa, taken over by the small Parched London group in April 2021. The exterior is rich with architectural flourishes and sports a distinctive mansard roof. Its columned entrance leads to the high-ceilinged space of the L shaped public bar. A variety of table and seating styles are available, these include sofas, banquette, plus high backed armchairs in the games conservatory.
Currently it has three changing real ales with a focus on smaller breweries. Lunchtime food is by Mondo Sando (sub rolls and salad) and the evening menu is by Cutie Pies. Entertainment includes comedy nights, jazz and quiz nights.

Had a semi-decent roast dinner here, though nothing special. Roast potatoes were awful, meat was overcooked but also tasted good. Pretty ordinary beers, Brixton Pale, etc.

Called in for a brief stop in private room. All seemed fine to me. Big projector TV for sport and good range of beers

Was having major sensory overload, was too late to go outside with my pint. Staff let me sit in the back room. Thank you for being so kind & inclusive. I've seen one of my old clients with learning difficulties being so positively received & supported. Keep up the kindness guys really lovely & so appreciated :)

Working at King's this was our go to place to hang up given the clean and spacious pub so close. Staff are great but the food can definitely be improved. The cocktails also need an upgrade. We had ordered Sunday roast but the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and the tatties were hardened. A bit more veggies would also have been great. The place itself is vast and airy and even during snowy chill in December, it was nice and warm.

I came to Grove House Tavern because one of my friend recommended that place. Maybe is a new chef and staff or something but I’m a little bit disappointed. Service was bad and none existent and food was average… I finished my meal because I was hungry. Anyway portion of beef was small. I get two pieces of potatoes which ones are been probably just peeled and straight away put in over. We ordered 2 bloody mary… also I think that was just Tabasco, tomato juice and vodka - no garnish, no spices just plane.
