About Joiners Arms
Informal local pub serving pizza and having a music history of live bands and weekend DJ nights.
The pub first opened in the 1800s and at that time was frequented by joiners. Since the 1920s it has been an Irish pub. The pub is split into two bars, a smaller front bar area from a larger more modern room at the back which has a small stage for live music. The pub boasts an impressive range of spirits and an eye-catching tiled mural on the front bar wall being a panel bearing the arms of the Joiners’ & Ceilers’ Company, one of some 100 City livery companies. Its motto is "Join Truth With Trust". The kitchen is located behind the front bar in what was originally the glazed-in Publican's office. Quiz night Wednesday. Local resident Florence Welch's favourite pub (ES Magazine 13.07.18) and she has been known to gig here too.

Such a famous establishment in South London. A friendly welcome serving nice food, it’s really easy to order with the QR code. I will return one evening for the live music as there was none playing on the Sunday afternoon I visited. #southlondonforever

Nice evening out on a open mic night, lots of talent. The refurbishment of the toilets is so much better plus the outside and roof terrace has good adequate space, also the chicken taco's are delicious. It's just a shame to see the pool table go.

Very cosy atmosphere and the staff and lovely. Would definitely recommend trying the Sunday Roasts, but all other food is amazing also. I would recommend booking a table if you’re planning to visit in the evening or the weekend.

Grabbed a drink here and had a bite to eat. Lovely place, cracking food, the atmosphere was amazing! Staff were trying to make sure our experience was enjoyable and that we had all we needed. Good Camberwell pub on Denmark Hill not far from the Green. Only one cask beer on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating to the side, in the beer garden to the rear and on the roof terrace, some of it covered. Friendly and helpful staff.
