Tiger, Camberwell

About Tiger

Large Victorian pub and terrace overlooking Camberwell Green, furnished with lived-in sofas.

Originally the Silver Buckle, The Tiger is in the heart of Camberwell, now leased and run by Antic, thus its interior is a charming retro vintage, lovely green tilework on the outside. Pub quiz Tuesday evenings, DJs on Friday nights, singer/songwriters on Sunday evenings. Real ale is served by default into handled mugs but straight glasses are available upon request. 4 handpumps.

Amazing Mexican food. Honestly the best in South London. So tasty. Delicious tacos and nachos. Range of local (Brixton) beer. Highly recommend for week nights and weekends!

A nice stop off before our train to catch a bit of the footy (first Chelsea game of the season) and a nice pint of cider . It had a nice welcoming feel and was set out really nice Pity we didn’t have more time !

Atmosphere isn't great (I tend to only go to watch the football so I can't comment on other scenarios). Bar staff are alright but the manager walks around like he owns the place (he may do 🤷‍♂️) and creates an atmosphere. I tend to avoid the pub if he's around. No food served, haven't got snacks a lot of the time but when they don't they allow you to bring your own snacks in. Give it a go!

No food is available as the kitchen has financial problems. Pub does not looks very clean and looked after. Lack of any ale.

They say they have the best vegan food available in Camberwell and I think they might be right. I had most of the vegan dishes there already and I keep coming back for more. The service is quick and friendly and the pub has a very nice atmosphere.
