About Horseshoe
Family-friendly spot serving their own Camden craft beers and a classic British gastropub menu.
The ultimate owner is AB INBEV. Urban Pubs & Bars are running the pub. A former Wetherspoon's pub which moved distinctly up-market with the introduction of an extensive gastro menu, open kitchen and all, and the installation of its own micro-brewery down in the basement. This subsequently metamorphosed into the Camden Town Brewery and the kit was removed while the brewery grew and grew.
With wooden floors and walls, bench tables and large arched windows, there is an airy, open feel to the place. There is seating outside for smokers in the side alley leading to High St.
The Pentameters Theatre, on the first floor above the Horseshoe, has been listed as an Asset of Community Value. The artistic director, Leonie Scott-Matthews, has (as of 2016) been running the Pentameters, with unbroken service, for 48 years. It is one of the most famous and oldest fringe theatres in London.

Walked by looked very busy so phoned to see if they had a table informed about a hour and half wait so booked then had a return call to say that a table had become available earlier which was well appreciated and good customer service Now the food had the Sunday lunch well presented and hot we had the pork, chicken has sides of cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets and stuffing nothing in the meals could be faulted staff were attentive and served with a smile we wanted an adjustment made to one of our drinks dealt with efficiently without any fuss, good choice of drinks available. Great staff - very helpful. Food and wine selections are great for a chilled Sunday. Highly suggest making reservations as depending on your group size could be waiting for a while. Didn't get to try the cocktails but next time....ps not sure they have kids menu?

I experienced more than their delish brunch – it was a warm, welcoming affair. From the friendly French host at the entrance to the attentive service throughout, every moment felt warm and special. Chose “Chorizo & cheddar croquettes, saffron mayo” for my starter & glad I did! 👍 These were crunchy, gooey inside with just right consistency of spice, cheese and mayo💕 10/10! 💕 For main, I chose from the roast - “British pork belly with crackling, apple sauce”. What a wonderful pub. The staff are exceptional and the best I’ve come across in a long while. The food is fantastic and we had some delicious cocktails. Reasonably priced for London especially Hampstead. Lots of lovely dogs to see too! Can’t wait to visit again!
