About King's Head

British pub fare & local ales in a relaxed place with old-school decor, antiques & sports on TV.

Reopened in August 2015 after a sensitive refurbishment by Spirit/Taylor Walker, since transferring to Greene King ownership.

Splendid pub of 1896 by W M Brutton with possibly the most ornate pub interior in South London. Although altered in recent years, it retains magnificent glass, tiles, bar-fittings and screens, including unusual pierced work. As a result it is on Part II of CAMRA's National Inventory.

We are regulars at this pub for a quick weekday drink or easy tea for the children. I also had my 45th birthday in the outdoor area. The staff were always helpful during the booking process and accommodated my requests. On the day, everything went smoothly. I had the space an hour before as I wanted to put up decors and set up. Food came when I wanted. Guests (50 of us adults and children afternoon party) can order drinks via app or at the bar. We had a great time and were impressed by the service. They were helpful when we needed mugs of water and plates for the birthday cake.

We went here for a quick spot of lunch, was clean and tidy. We ordered two burgers, cheesy Garlic bread, lemonade pint, and a orange juice and lemonade. No major issues, everything was fairly quick, I was overcharged for my orange juice and lemonade. £6:60 for a pint of. Pretty brutal. Other than that the food was lovely and well worth a visit. Great beer garden too.

Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, came fast, nice and hot and tasted amazing! Great selection of brews on tap, including local. Decent prices, good atmosphere. Great place for a lunch. (Also has lunch specials)

I had a really bad experience at Christmas time but decided to come back. Firstly they have karaoke on Thursday! Brilliant! Soria served me my food. She was very welcoming. I had the 28 day steak and it was delicious! I'll be back to eat later this week.

Went in after having had a curry nearby. The bouncers lectured us not to eat the curry from our doggy bags in the pub. Mate, if I was still hungry I would have eaten the curry in the restaurant I just left. Anyway, we were a group prepared to sink a few beers each but sadly the prices were laughable. A pint of Estrella Galicia, which I'm well aware is an imported beer, was £7.15. I work in Canary Wharf and regularly drink in Central London, where the prices are the same if not cheaper. So these prices are well out of step for Zone 3 Tooting. We left after the 1 drink and will not be…
