About Mitre
Airy pub with skylights, mismatched tables and a leafy garden, for real ales and a gastropub menu.
Attractive ‘brewers tudor’ style pub rebuilt by the Swan Brewery in 1924/25, probably the last one before the tied estate was sold off in 1927. The brewery closed the following year; nearby Fulham Court now stands on the old brewery site. Last re-furbished in 2020, this pub has some interesting heritage photos. There is a garden at back and a bar and BBQ in the garden in summer. The food offering includes Sunday roasts and a kids' menu.
Quiz night on Tuesdays. Note that the pub is likely to be popular on Chelsea match days!
Also note that this venue is card-only for payments.

We were served by Sarah and she was awesome, very knowledgeable, welcoming and knew all about the menu - great hospitality makes such a difference. Food was fabulous - scotch egg straight into my Top 5. Highly recommend this pub and we came back especially on a trip to London having lived in the area previously for years.

This is my local. Good pub. Good atmosphere. One annoyance - the fact you can’t order food at the bar. Worst system ever! Especially given you can just grab a free table without being shown by a server to a table - so there is a 100% chance the serve doesn’t know you’re there. Meaning you have to go through the rigmarole of finding a server. It’s annoying for the customer and overly hard work for the server. A QR code would be better than this. Or just let people order food at the bar like any other pub. Options = revenue.

Never been so badly treated by a pub manager. I was sat with a group of three friends and went to order a pint but the pub manager refused to serve me and he said to me “I was too young”. I showed him two forms of ID my provisional and passport which both verified I was of age. The pub manager then said that “He didn't care” and would kick me out if I asked again. This ruined my Friday night as I couldn’t enjoy a drink with my friends as the pub manager excluded me for no valid reason. I have been to this pub before and staff have always been amazing except for this encounter.

What a lovely pub this is. The outdoor area is huge with the option to dine or enjoy a nice pint. I was recommended this pub from a friend as I’m new to the area and there is nothing like sourcing a new local. I had the burger to eat, defo a must have! After finishing my meal, I had a chat with the manager, what a bubbly chap he is, first impressions always count, I couldn’t fault the service and staff - very attentive. Looking forward to my next visit.

Everything about the Mitre was great, apart from one bartender who was really quite rude. We ordered two pints of Peroni at the bar which came to over £17, we asked how it could possibly be so expensive and were told it was because there was a service charge added to each pint - despite having received no service. When we asked if it could be taken off, we were flatly refused. The bartender in question was sullen and only responded in flat one word answers. It was a real shame as all the other staff were amazing and the food was delicious. If it wasn’t for this one member of staff we would…
