Facing St John's church (1828). Licensed in 1713 and first rebuilt in 1813 (leased to Meux & Co.) and again in 1895. The present ground floor wooden frontage dates from 1931. A spacious Grade II listed pub (Historic England reference 1079797) with comfortable seating. It has a fake fireplace feature which gives a cozy feel, especially in the winter. Large beer garden.

Very nice environment. Customer service was very fast and staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks were nice . I really enjoyed the big sofas with the red leather cover . Very comfortable ! The room was very spacious and i really liked the fact that they allow dogs inside the pub.

the 2 people who served us were so friendly. they accommodated our food requests really well and it was delicious. would highly recommend and will be coming back.

From the moment I walked in I was greatly with great and utter happiness. The place is very welcoming and the staff are wonderful. I had the chicken burger and its mouth watering taste that it gave me was impeccable. Also very vegan friendly as my friend I came with had many options to choose from. I would recommend anyone to come here and I’ll definitely be back here sometime soon.
