About Oak & Pastor
Renovated pub with reclaimed church furniture and contemporary touches, live comedy and global food.
25/07/23 - report of no cask beer - anyone know different? On Tuesday night's visit they had two cask handpumps on the bar both had "just run out" that day and barmaid said they had more on order (expected delivery the next day). So hopefully a one-off.
The origins of this building can be traced back to the 19th century; the first record being a public house in 1889 when it was christened the Junction Arms. During the Second World War this building was damaged by the bombing, however only suffered minor damage to the exterior structure. In 1964 the Junction Arms became the Drum and Monkey, the tenant instigated the story behind this unusual name, at the time owning an ornament depicting a drum and monkey (odd!!). Now a warm and friendly pub with a varied food offering (see their website for menus), nice gardens, open fireplace in winter and lots of reclaimed church furniture. Comedy nights

Visited with colleagues for a nice time. It is easy to locate, few minutes walk from Archway station, cozy place, very accommodating. Food portions were large and taste good, they got fun employees. Atmosphere was cool, if looking for a place to whine down and just chill, this is it. Overall, we had a good time! Nice pub.

Great Sunday roast Been here several times with my family and always get a friendly welcome. Great food and my kids say it's there favourite place to go for a Sunday roast. I highly recommend this pub for the food and the Guinness is great too.

I’m so fussy with my roasts but this was so tasty. Amazing quality, portion and enough gravy! Potato’s could have been crispy but that’s my only fault.

Went here for a meal and a few drinks for my birthday. The food was real good, we are already planning on going back for a Sunday roast very soon. We sat outside in the rear garden, which is a very nice seating area, with music and the sun was shining which makes everything better. Would definitely recommend a visit.
