About Old Bull & Bush
Large gastropub with modern Euro menu, cosy bar and outdoor terrace, busy with walkers at weekends.
Considered by some wags the most agreeable pub in Golders Green, this is up the road from the now sadly closed Jack Straw's Castle (converted to luxury flats). Handy if you are visiting the less well-known northern extension of Hampstead Heath or the West Heath and Golders Hill Park. Made famous by Florie Ford's music hall song, "Down at the Old Bull and Bush" where people were invited to come and make eyes at her and perhaps no doubt they did. It's an old coaching inn set back from the road with seating out front. The interior has been much modernised and we are informed by the pub's manager (Nov 2019) that that "we offer two beers regularly with both on most of the time at least one at all times". Food served, for details and serving times click on their website. Bus: 210, 268.

The Old Bull & Bush in North Hampstead, one of my favourite neighbourhood pubs, never fails to impress! 🏡✨ Take a look at the mouthwatering tender & juicy steak cooked in perfection and served with scallops and shrimp—an absolute delight for seafood and meat lovers alike! 🥩🍤 The Sunday roast here is a must-try, featuring a trio of perfectly roasted meats that’s simply irresistible. 🍖🍗🥩 And don’t even get me started on their desserts, they’re to die for! 🍰😋 But it’s not just the amazing food that keeps me coming back; the staff are incredibly friendly and make every visit special…

I would like to rate your pub to a 5-star, I had a pretty good experience when I was there. The food was delicious. There are plenty of sitting spaces both inside and outside. The atmosphere of the place is quite alright. Good location, as there is a beautiful park close to the pub, just a few minutes walk distance. Perfect place for friends and families to get-together. Special thanks to Dorothy who made my stay very pleasant. She was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend the bread sticks and camamber cheese and sauce dish. Heads up 🥂

Huge portions. One of the best roast dinner I had in pubs & restaurants. We were looked after by Clemmy, he’s very nice and friendly. Gave us good recommendations on the food etc. highly recommended!

Visited this pub for a meeting in Golders Green/Hampstead. Recommended by a local as the best in the area, and it didn’t disappoint on first impressions. Parking was straightforward – just enter your details inside to validate your stay. The enthusiastic young server was excellent, offering helpful recommendations and a friendly vibe. We stayed for food, trying the Malbec and Ale pie which was nice, but the Dirty Burger fell short—overpriced for the quality offered. Chains like Five Guys, GBK, or TGI Fridays do a better job on a burger. The portion of fries was also disappointingly small…
