Two-level, traditional Taylor Walker pub which also has an outdoor area.

Was Bell, Book & Candle but now renamed back to its original name under the Taylor Walker Brand and now Greene King. Split level pub with additional hand pumps down stairs. Beer range reduced under Greene King ownership. Sambrook's Wandle and Truman's Runner may also guest here along with the beers listed,

    I think it's a great place. Classic pub atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food and beers. Prices are also relatively fair. Worth a visit.

    Had a nice authentic English pub vibe, other than the American pop music. Good service, good food (had the steak and ale pie, fish and chips, and BBQ chicken), cold pints, comfortable seating, and cold air-conditioning on a hot summer evening. Couldn't ask for much more. The prices have gone up a bit, by about a pound since the picture posted by another contributor 9 months ago, but I think the prices are still fair for London city, and for the quality and quantity. Also, when you come here, make sure to check out the basement and courtyard seating before deciding where you want to sit.

    Staff were very helpful and kind. They kindly gave us instructions on how to order as it’s a different process in our home country. The staff ensured our allergies and dietary restrictions were met. The food was good as well!

    The small plates combo were an amazing option for an afternoon pint. Truly great dishes. The big bearded bar tender is really attentive.

    Team were so lovely and super friendly downstairs. Air con was a little high but given the heat understandable. Lovely time and really friendly team. Fab drinks and tasty food. Would so recommend. 😃
