About Perseverance

Comfortable wood-filled pub with a selection of European & American beers, plus comfort food.

An independently run free-house which many years ago had been the legendary real ale house, the Sun. During 2016 ownership passed to Market Taverns - owners of the Market Porter at London Bridge. Also once the home of the now defunct Bloomsbury Brewery which had occupied the cellar under the previous owners.

April 2nd 2024 - the pub is offering a 50% discount on selected casks on Sundays.

In summer, three of the pumps may be used for cider and this is the case currently such as Broadoak Perry, Seacider White Peach and Against The Grain Session Cider (as at 02/08/24)

A predominately young clientèle, the pub can get crowded most nights but there’s an outside seating area providing over-spill and a place for smokers together with an upstairs dining/function room which can provide a quieter area if not being otherwise used. The pub is becoming famous for its thin based pizzas but there are many other options. You can find the latest menu on their website.

The pub now have Dinner for One Hundred residency in their kitchen. They have other sites in London and "they make delicious pizzas". Look at their website for more details - https://www.dinnerforonehundred.com/. The pizzas are available for eat in, take away and delivery.

Card payment only.

Stopped for a couple of pints and rest while exploring the area. Opted for crisp and refreshing Camden Pale Ale,not disappointed. Big fan of Lambs Conduit Street for the independent stores and restaurants. No chain shops round here! Card only Pub so no cash taken. Sat outside on a lovely early autumn afternoon watching the world go by. Plenty of drink choices available. Plenty of seating available ground and 1st floor and also some outside for spectators. Would happily visit again. Clean toilets accessible next to right of the bar.

While trying to navigate my way around the streets of London, I came across a place I never walked in. I found this place, It was friendly, welcoming and non-judgemental. I loved to watch the interaction between people and how I could quietly observe while attempting to read a book I just brought. The book 'In Her Nature' by Rachel Hewitt reminded me of a colleague I worked with so I decided to buy it.

Fantastic pub. The pizza was fantastic. Definitely check out their real ale selection. They had three local London Ales and a London cider on when I visited, along with several "coming soon" badges behind the bar. Looks like an amazing selection! They had a CAMRA local ale accreditation in the window too!

Went for Tuesday night Pub quiz and was pleasantly surprised! The staff and host were all lovely, the square pizza was surprisingly delicious, and there were all around good vibes! My one point of feedback was that it was really hot, and cracking a door or window open would’ve really helped ventilate indoors

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere, and a cracking selection of beers. We stopped here for some pre-dinner pints, and were far from disappointed. The cask ale selection was top notch, and clearly very well looked after. The Fuller's ESB in particular was gorgeous. Next time in London this will have to be a stop again.
