About Pineapple
The Pineapple had that name until 1974. was then renamed The Colonies with an American colonial theme, but half a century later as attitudes changed, reverted to The Pineapple. It's a comfortable, split level pub with an extensive back courtyard garden leading to Castle Lane. Some interesting prints are displayed on the panelled walls.
A large food menu includes sandwiches.
This pub can become busy during early weekday evenings with a clientèle of largely local civil servants and other office workers.

Love the new refurbishment of this pub. I remember when it was called The Colonies. Only stopped for a pint. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I loved the atmosphere inside the pub. We didn't eat anything but the food saw looked good. Definitely positive change to how it used to be. Will definitely come back.

Newly refurbished, the Pineapple is great. Formerly known as The Colonies the pub always gets busy after office hours. Good food served all day with excellent lunch options. They are running an Oktoberfest special at the moment and the Paulaner Weißbier is Fantastic!

Looks great since the refit. Outside seating is better and inside is comfortable. Food and drinks were good.

Great £10 lunch deal 12-3pm on weekdays. The halloumi chilli jam wrap was yum! Lovely garden bar out the back too!

(from America) while walking around like tourists usually do, we got hungry... At Buckingham Palace we started looking for a pub with fish and chips which our son wanted to try. I suggested the pineapple since it was close and we were surprised at the friendly atmosphere of a pub!
