About Adam & Eve
This ornate corner pub is the third tavern to stand on this site since at least 1649. The present house was rebuilt in 1881, to designs by H J Newton who did a number of conversions for Watneys. The single bar has much dark, polished wood and retains several Victorian features, including the brass water-tap (not in use!) on the counter. There is also a Parliamentary Bell in the pub.

I had a fantastic lunch experience at this restaurant! The food was superb, especially the fish and chips, which were absolutely wonderful. The beer selection impressed me as well, being of excellent quality. The atmosphere was very pleasant, creating a great setting for a midday meal. What stood out most, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure we had a perfect dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food and great service in a lovely setting.

We ended up here because we were hungry and walking by while it was raining. The service was excellent and so was the meal. It was a very pleased pub experience.

Greetings mate, I quite enjoyed my meal at this little Pub. It was rather empty when we arrived at lunch time, but I trusted my gut and went in anyway. We ordered at the counter like any good lad would and the. Seated ourselves. All meals was surprisingly delicious. I very much enjoyed the sauce accompanying the meat pie. By the time we left, the pub was filled with no seats left so I felt like a…

I had a pint of beer and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, It seems like a typical old pub and the people going there are exactly the people you would imagine. Overall a great and authentic experience.
