About Queens Head

Traditional pub with open fires, serving real ales and eclectic pub menu including flatbread pizza.

This Ember Inn pub is situated next door to Chislehurst ponds. It is a large and imposing building but inside it is quite modern and painted in light colours. There are many different seating areas within the pub and food is a big part of its trade. The car park at the rear of the pub is free but you have to log your car registration on the terminal at the bar. Curry night is Wednesday.

Even though this pub is food-orientated, casual drinkers are welcome. Like most Ember Inns, a "Cask Club" operates every Monday and Thursday whereby there is a £1/pint discount. The 20p/pint discount for CAMRA members operates on all other days.

Handy for the Green Chain Walk, one limb of which starts/ends at Prickend Pond.

Lost count of the number of times I've come here. We come here quite a lot, most weekends for drinks with my partner and groups of friends and sometimes for snacks like nachos etc. Drinks, food, service and staff are all absolutely brilliant. Atmosphere is also great, busy and great background noise etc but not toooo busy. They have also started hosting events and we've met really fun people through these. Meg is also friendly along with many of the other staff, make you feel really welcome. We will definitely be back (most weekends!)

We had an engagement party for our son and his fiancee at this pub yesterday. Ash and his team were brilliant and very attentive. We were given a section of the pub with the fireplace in it and it was perfect for 10 adults and 1 child. They let us decorate the space how we wanted to. We chose the gold buffet but unfortunately, on the day there were certain items not available and therefore had to go for the silver buffet, but Ash couldn't apologise enough and made sure the extra wings ordered were not charged for, and in the end there was more than enough food and it was all delicious…

I had a chicken and leek pie, it was so delicious. Good and drinks are reasonably priced. Staff never disappoint, always deliver 10/10 service

Megan was an absolute delight! Food was amazing, drinks were on point. Been coming for years. Lovely scenery by the duck pond

Ordered food a week ago and it was lovely so went to order again tonight. Not sure what happened but food was burnt, overcooked, soggy chips due to steak sitting on top, Definitely not appealing. We never recieved our drinks that we ordered, Definitely will not be ordering from them again.
