About Rising Sun
Child-friendly, traditional pub with English/Continental food and summer barbecues in the garden.
Back-street pub which is food led, but retains a traditional feel, with boarding to shoulder height on the walls. Formerly part of the Big Smoke chain of pubs, it has retained most of their beers, with a good range of cask ales, craft keg beers and ciders. Decorated in a contemporary style which is still in keeping with original features. Covered patio and large garden to rear. The pub was the birthplace of the Society for Preservation of Beer from the Wood in the 1960s. Public parking available nearby in Church Street. Function room available. The changing beers are often from local breweries. Quiz night Tuesdays. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Nice friendly staff. The whole place was lovely and clean. All our meals were delicious and nice big servings too ... Sunday roast especially amazing, totally recommend. Busy and friendly atmosphere 5+star in all. Puddings we saw looked amazing....we just couldn't fit one in 😀

The rising sun holds some great events, this weekend we went to the beer festival, it was well run, the different choice of beers & ales was incredible, the outside area is so pretty, if you’re looking for a place to drink in these winter months head to the rising sun, food is pretty decent to. A lovely pub in Epsom give it a try.

Friendly atmosphere, huge garden some area covered, clean , booking advised for big groups so you don't get disappointed I've been a number of times never been let down , the staff are great!

We love this pub, it looks small from outside but is a good size with a big garden. There’s a great selection of drinks and the food is always delicious. Our favourite time to go is Thursday for steak night. The staff are lovely and friendly too!
