About Royal Oak
Much improved under new management, this L shaped pub has wooden floors, plus painted walls and wood panelling with a mixture of seating. Large garden. There is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Craft keg beers also available. The changing beers can come from a local brewery. Interesting menu, which makes use of the large barbecue facility in the garden and Dry Age Meat fridge in the bar. Roasts on Sundays. Card payments only.

Wanted to take my son for a burger. They cost £20 each and was told they would be pink in the middle. What came was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing, especially considering the staggering price. I was offered a free drink after I complained but I was driving so couldn’t accept it. I felt thoroughly ripped off.

Came here on a Tuesday where it was maybe 10% of the seating capacity, with about ten patrons, and I was told the kitchen is “extremely busy with wait times over a half hour”. Okay, if you can’t serve anyone when you’re practically empty it inspires no confidence and we will never be back. It’s a really poor look. Third time trying the place and had weird issues each time that you just don’t find elsewhere. There is better options in the area. The garden is a bit of a dive too.

Much improved, nice atmosphere, good staff. Great garden and outside BBQ. Steaks and burgers look great. They had Timothy Taylor and Doombar but both were in good fettle. Plenty of room and very quiet on a Monday late lunch.

I come here often, I enjoy it every time, servers are lovely and service is great! Always a great atmosphere and a lovely beer garden with lots of space and seating! Jonathan is a server I especially think is great. Definitely stop by here !

Fantastic place- comfortable to sit inside and with plenty of space to sit outside. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and can advise when it comes to drinks, cocktails and food. All food was delicious, fresh and just what we needed.parking might be a bit challenging so give yourself extra 10 minutes to find the right spot.
