About Sun In Splendour
Victorian pub with wooden benches, a snug, whitewashed beer garden and a British comfort food menu.
1852 pub with a curved frontage and the first (or last) of the Portobello Road watering-holes. A cosy, quite small interior with elegant slender poles. The inn sign derives from the standard of the Yorkist Edward IV. Triple winner of the Evening Standard pub of the year. The model of the sun and rays on the roof was destroyed in a violent storm at the turn of the 20th century. Currently has only a small range of cask ales for an M&B Castle pub; the food offering includes Sunday roasts.

Great location and cute little secret garden. There is a seated service, which is great sometimes. We were lucky to get a table but missed a more pubby vibe. The food was great though. The staff are also very attentive.

We loved this pub. We were happy to get a table on a busy Saturday. It was full but still got a great service The wine options were great and we had a gorgeous Malbec. To eat, we tried a few starters and sides that were yummy. Overall, we loved it!

Food was super yummy but it was very dirty inside. Price typical for a pub in that area but shame about size of the portion rip

Buzzing little pub at the end of Portobello road. We grabbed a table for dinner on their back patio - not a fancy spot by any means but a good place to enjoy fresh air on a warm September evening. Service was friendly and attentive and food was first-rate. Would definitely come back.

Best tarter sauce I've ever had. Best batter for the fish and chips. Divine sticky toffee pudding. Fantastic service. Great vibes.
