About Up The Creek Brewery Tap
Up-and-coming talent at open-mic nights, top comedians at Sunday Specials and late disco.
Up The Creek comedy club is a local institution established in 1991. In 2018 the premises expanded and set up its own on-site micro brewery, originally named Greenwich Brewery but now known as Up The Creek Brewery. Following the appointment of a new Polish brewer in 2021 the range of beers has expanded and a number of cask and keg brews are usually available at the club bar. NOTE: at present entrance to the bar is usually restricted to event ticket holders only, but it may be possible to obtain access during the day by phoning beforehand. Monday to Friday, 11am onwards.
The brewery is, however, seeking to widen the availability of its beers to local pubs and beer festivals and its products have been seen occasionally locally in other outlets.

I had a wonderful time here. The show I went to see was a brunch comedy event and it was great! The comedian was Mo Gillingham and friends and they were hilarious! The only downside, was the seats. They were packed very tightly together and very small! I wasn't a fan of being in a stranger's armpit for several hours! But other than that, I can not fault the venue, especially for the price of the tickets

What a hoot!!! We had a fantastic time at the Sunday special. Everything flowed so seamlessly and the comedians did an unbelievable job. The comedy club itself is very well decorated and has a great set up. If we were from London, we would be going here all the time!

The venue and staff were friendly and accommodating. I visited twice, and the comedy performances ranged from excellent to decent. However, both times, groups of extrenly drunk or high audience were distracting and loud, which made it difficult to hear the comedians. Security had to intervene with those people throughout the showtime, which was quite annoying. I won't be returning unless I find that other venues in London have worse crowd control.

Excellent time at Up the Creek club and can’t wait to return! The comedy was excellent, all three acts equally strong and such a great MC too. Love the ‘up the Greek’ as well which is the food place in there, which was excellent value and enormous portion sizes! The staff in the club were really helpful and friendly, and made it such a lovely experience.

28.03.2024 Can't really complain. Great value for money. Cheap night out. Ate on the premises ...Lamb Soulvaki Bowl. Very tasty. Street style food. Went on Black Out night. Very enjoyable, even the comedian's that were not funny. Interactive audience, host held it together well. Worth going to.
