Cosy 1700s pub overlooking the village green with simple rooms and serving traditional English food.
Old style pub about 200 years old opposite Esher Green. This is a smart, popular local with a vibrant atmosphere. Its spacious and modern interior comprises a large central bar and several seating areas. There is a popular front terrace overlooking the green. Drinkers and diners are equally welcome, with high-quality food available all day. Occasional gourmet evenings are held. It is comfortably furnished throughout in a modern style. Private dining room seating up to 16 available. There is an open fire in the bar area. The original oak flooring in the main area has been retained and replicated in the extended areas. A bicycle rack is provided at the rear. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Boys Christmas lunch on Wednesday in the separate room, was overseen by Misha who did a fantastic job keeping us in check. The food was lovely and all dishes were served promptly. A great afternoon thanks to all the team at Wheatsheaf, see you again soon. Billy xx

Met up with friends and sat by the bar. The pub itself is cosy, clean and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are so lovely, they were attentive and the service was brilliant. We ordered starters and mains and I would say the food was the icing on the cake… there was a great menu from which to choose from and none of us were disappointed with what we ordered… soup if the day, prawns and mushrooms for starters and delicious burger, satay salad and gnocchi for mains… so nice… will be visiting again.. on top of everything else, there was ample parking… 10/10 for sure…

We had our book club lunch in the private dining room. Pascal made us very welcome and was a delightful host. The food came promptly and was delicious and beautifully served. The drinks were also attractively presented and came very quickly after we arrived. We all had nothing but praise for our experience

Had a fantastic experience at The Wheatsheaf yesterday. We had our Christmas work party there which started with a 3 course meal - starter, main and dessert. Food was delicious and generous portions. We also enjoyed the quality and selection of their drinks. After food, 20 carol singers arrived from a local church which was a lovely special touch. The staff were all very hospitable - special thank you to assistant manager Hannah who took care of us throughout and ensured an amazing Christmas work do!

A lovely lunch with friends to celebrate the New Year. The food was really excellent (we had the seabass and game pie special), and good value. The ice cream was the best I’ve tasted for a while. Very fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The welcome was very warm from the restaurant manager and cheerful and efficient from the waiting staff. A lovely atmosphere in the dining room and tables well spaced. Will return.
