About Alleyns Head
Large pub serving real ales and British classics to eat in and take away, with weekly pizza nights.
Situated a short walk from the centre of leafy Dulwich is this large, welcoming M&B Ember Inns pub. Unusually for the area, it offers a range of five beers. Set on its own, the large bar has been effectively partitioned to provide an intimate and cosy environment, well served by the kitchen and its veritable smorgasbord of fish and meat dishes.

It is a really nice pub. Indoors there’s loads of space and you can decide if you want table service or you want to order at the bar. Outside there’s a nice area to enjoy the sun, now that it’s sunny and watch some matches on TV. The place is clean and there’s a nice atmosphere. Toilets are clean. Service is friendly and helpful. It was not crowded but they seemed to be busy. But nothing that stopped me from enjoying the delicious burger and the quiet environment to work in the morning. 100% recommend if you are in the area. The had a good choice of food and drink.

Celebrated my friends retirement in this wonderful venue. Ayla was our waitress and she was amazing! So friendly and accommodating. Champagne was chilled to perfection. Very relaxing atmosphere, everything was perfect! Highly recommend The Alleyn's Head.

I’ve been to Alleyn’s Head a few times and I’d say it’s good for drinks for sure . I like the outside seating , I think it’s very nice. However , I came with a few friends the first time and we sat outside and whenever we go to pubs , we order online because that’s what we’re used to. That day it didn’t seem specifically busy but they were understaffed ( which at first we didn’t know). Anyway , we ordered our drinks online and the woman who served it made an annoying , somewhat petty remark , something along the lines of “oh these are the people who are using the app”. We were a bit confused…
