About Hope
A comfortable, traditional, older-style former Young's pub, dating from 1840, refurbished in 2015, serving a diverse local and wider community around a central bar. Pleasant, relaxed and welcoming, it has a lovely walled, terraced beer garden with lighting and covered, heated bench seating around tables, a fish pond and an outside function room. Monthly live music, disco, karaoke and a quiz night take place, and it boasts a 3D sports TV, with screens in the garden in summer, when film nights also feature.

A really great laid back traditional and up to date boozer. It suits young and seniors equally. A marvellous venue for any group of people or just on your own. V welcoming landlord and landlady.. A place where you can relax and get some real comfortable drinking and conversation going if you're in the mood. Top drawer.

Popped in here last Thursday as they now do a curry night on a Thursday. Omg it was lush. Mutton curry, jerk chicken and coleslaw. Plus a pint only £16. The food was gorgeous. It was such a bargain. If you’re struggling to decide what to eat on a Thursday night and you live in or near to West Norwood, pop down to the Hope. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

What can I say! I had an amazing birthday bash at the hope pub on 16th March 2024! Great garden and fantastic room at the back of the garden, we danced and had so much fun! The bar staff and landlords Sarah and Rob plus kelly all was truly amazing! Bring on the summer! This is a hidden gem of West Norwood! We will be back

Just tried tonight it is superb usually a Sunday roast visitor. . The goat is loverly and on the bone and soft and it’s served with chicken and rice coleslaw and dumplings . I eat the roast in the hope and they are just as good . Good vibe :)
