About Rosendale
Former coaching inn and elegant dining room, plus huge beer garden with adults' and kids' games.
This pub, run by Three Cheers Pub Co., has an imposing entrance with a pillared portico, making it stand out from the surrounding buildings. Inside it has been completely modernised with the main focus on the restaurant situated on a raised area at the rear, though the bar area still occupies around half of the space. Some gastropub features are evident: charcoal indigo painted walls, sofas, armchairs and tall tables and stools, wine rack in the bar back, etc. There are no fruit or games machines, and there is some outside seating. A couple of decorative features warrant a mention: framed butterflies on a wall at the back end of the restaurant and a complete wall in the bar area taken by a contemporary depiction of London in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. In addition to the regular real ales, there are rotating guest beers from local and regional brewers.

Where do we start?! We had our wedding reception at The Rosendale yesterday and had the best time! We booked over a year ago, and communication has been great. But I must say that main reason we booked was due to the manager Oscar. From our first time meeting we had so much confidence in him, it was clear he had a lot of experience but more than anything it was clear he wanted to make our day as special as possible! A huge thank you for hosting the most perfect wedding for us!! The level of service was phenomenal - service with a smile from all staff, all day. Our guests loved the food. The Rosendale accommodated our every requirement. The day ran incredibly smoothly - and that was in large part due to the fact that the event was so well managed by Krista and all the staff at the Rosendale. It was the most perfect day - we could not recommend more highly.

Hosted an event here for 120 people across the two private rooms upstairs. Event was easy to organise with the team, all done simply and clearly ahead of time and felt the team kept on top of things in the run up to the event, including frequent communication with myself. On the evening the team was great - extremely attentive to all the guests and were able to easily handle some additional requests/changes on the night which was great.

Lovely environment for food and beverage. The place itself is spacious and well decorated. I ordered the burger and chips, which I was pleased with. If I were to be brutally critical, I might say that the burger was a little overdone for my liking (I wasn’t asked how I’d like it), but it still tasted good. Can’t really find any other fault, though. There are meat-free options on the menu, the staff were all pleasant, and this place is dog-friendly which is a big win. To the Rosendale!

We had our wedding at the rosendale at the weekend it was just the best day ever. The whole team were so amazing from the point of booking and for the big day. Always answering all our questions so promptly and just being so accommodating. All of guests had only amazing things to say.
