Thank you for a great meal on a busy, busy night (Euro semi-final). I don't say this often, but what a delicious vegan burger. Seriously! Also, thank you for swapping chips for a crisp salad.

Update September 2024: Honestly a bit disappointed with my most recent visit. Having been coming here for a roast the last few years, since the change to get rid of table service and instead require all ordering at the bar, it's really gone down hill. On our most recent visit, despite placing two orders for food at the bar at the exact same time, the orders came over half an hour apart meaning half the table had finished before the other food even arrived. The food was still tasty, but arrived luke warm and we weren't informed that items in the meal were out of stock until after the food had…

We went here for a Sunday roast and I ordered the chicken (my favourite). We had about a 25 minute wait and it wasn't super busy. The portion size was generous and it looked great but unfortunately it lacked flavour, it was obvious that it hadn't been seasoned at all, the gravy was really watery and didn't taste of much. One praise was that the potatoes were lovely and brown but again, lacked flavour / seasoning so I wasn't able to fully enjoy them. Shame! Please use rosemary, garlic and other herbs!

Great place to stop off for drinks or for some food! Good selection of draft beers, Ive tried some of their smaller dishes and they were tasty! Nice beer garden out in the back which is perfect for a summers day

The Angel Oak is a fantastic spot with a sprawling beer garden at the back and additional roadside seating, making it perfect for enjoying the outdoors. They offer a great selection of craft beers and the staff are exceptionally welcoming. The food is delicious, adding to the overall excellent experience. Whether you're looking to relax in the garden or sit by the roadside, The Angel Oak is a top choice for a great meal and drink.
