About Antelope
Relaxed brewpub with banquettes and beer garden, for real ales, ciders, small plates and burgers.
Original home of the Big Smoke brewery, from which two or three cask beers are usually available in cask, the rest of the ten changing beers come mainly from independent breweries and micros. Up to four traditional ciders and perries also served from dedicated handpumps. Fairly spacious split level L-shaped interior with varnished wooden floor. Dark wood panelling, grey paint above and candles complete the decor, with a real fire in winter. There is a covered, heated and lit courtyard at rear, beyond which the old brewhouse now acts as an additional space for dining or functions. Home cooked food includes Sunday roasts. Three beer festivals annually and all cask ales are £3.50 on a Monday. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Great casual dining pub. A great variety of beers and ciders, a varied menu with some vegetarian and vegan offerings. My burger was excellent. The only downside is that there was no tea or coffee available - not all drivers want sweet soft drinks after a meal!

We had a lovely experience at the Antelope. We booked the smokehouse (room at the back) for a private celebration and we were very pleased with the level of customer care. The manager accommodated our requests and all staff was efficient and nice before and throughout the party. The food was fresh and tasty and all guests enjoyed it. Overall a great experience, we will definitely come back. Thank you Antelope!

From the time you enter this pub, the atmosphere is so welcoming and warm. It has a real rustic and authentic feel about it. The service was excellent. The food came quickly, and we were checked on often throughout the evening. The food was delicious, absolutely delicious! We found that the portion sizes were quite big, so come with an appetite.

This is my local so I’m in every week and can take it for granted. The Antelope is a brilliant, essential community pub that, importantly for me, serves lovely cask ale with an ever changing offering from many and diverse breweries. It’s truly one of Surbiton’s primary assets; god knows how we lived before Big Smoke came to us!? Thanks to all in the Antelope team, you make us all happier, but especially me.
