About Fox & Hounds
Traditional coaching house pub dating back to the early nineteenth century. The open fire and wood burner make this a particularly comfortable place to drink in the winter. The beer garden fronts the road and is a sun trap in the summer. Pizzas available on Wednesdays and fish and chips on Fridays (both 6.30-9.30). At other times customers can order takeaways for delivery to the pub. A local pool league is hosted on Tuesdays from 7pm. Psychic events are held monthly – check Facebook for details. There is occasional live music at weekends.

A highly regarded locals local pub in the Surbiton community. "A Warm Welcome" stated on the sign, which rings true the moment you walk through the door. Pool table (bring your change!), dart board, 80's classics on the soundsystem and an IT Box which I don't think I've seen since I left Uni. When I came here previously I sat with my pint of Moretti and heard two blokes describe for well over 20 minutes about how good the run of the table was, stroking it after every shot. Make of that what you will, but we played on it, and it felt pretty pretty, pretty good. Beers on tap are "normal pub"…

The Fox and Hounds is wonderful. Why? Well, it has a pool table, a dart board, a pub dog, and even on a Friday night, you can feel safe and welcome there. It's frankly like walking into the idealised version of the perfect pub from 50 years ago. I just don't wish to recommend it too highly because I also like how quiet it gets sometimes. I wouldn't like to attract too many extra punters. 😁

Great afternoon into evening on Saturday. Met some lovely people, Gary (landlord) was friendly and played lots of pool . Dog friendly too.

A nice pub alongside the road by the river in Surbiton. They have a small selection of good beers on tap to choose from. They also have Indian street food on Friday evenings (1800-2100), but it had all gone by 2030 last time so get there early. Am told on good authority the food is great and the prices looked very fair too. Inside there’s darts and pool too, so well worth a visit if nearby. The outside space is pleasant too and staff are quite friendly.
