About Astronomer

Classic, wood-filled Victorian pub housed in a red brick mansion block, with specialist pie menu.

A Fuller's Ale & Pie pub re-opened under its new name in July 2016. The beer range has increased (including some interesting bottles) and food is now served from 9.00am. The theme is very much around astronomy and there is some very interesting bric-a-brac to catch your eye as well as the downstairs Hubble Bar. Middlesex Street was originally named Petticoat Lane, possibly prudish Victorians changed the name, but on Sundays it remains home to the famous market.

I loved the food the menue the internet menue where you can have a filter calorie based ! This is number one! I was disappointed because they mixed my table with another one ! Service was excellent but it could have been better I am sure if they took 1 minute more to verify the information before proceeding the billing !!! The fish and ships, the grilled fish the appetizers all was perfectly cooked! I loved the peach beer !

Great pub, that's very close to Liverpool Street station. Good range of beers, plenty of tables, and quick service. Not eaten here but the menu looks good.
