About Crown
Reopened as The Crown on 22nd June 2023. An addition to the Northern Union operated pubs, a company which has taken previously closed pubs and reinvigorated them, such as the Old White Bear in Hampstead. Food can be brought in from Chango Empanada next door and other nearby cafes/bakeries. The rear garden is a lovely place to sit and relax, currently closes at 9pm.
20/12/22 - A planning application was approved in July to convert the building back to a pub! Listed building consent granted.

What a charming little pub in Highgate, which has a lovely rear garden, with plenty of little friends for company (loads of Ladybirds!), friendly staff, and a chilled vibe. A real welcome treat for a Sunday afternoon pint, or three..!

Popped in for the first time since the place opened 6 months ago. This little bar in Highgate village. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Beautifully decorated, fairy lights which give it a cosy feel. Friends playing board games and cards. Although it doesn't provide food cooked on the premises, they do allow you to order food from local restaurants to eat while enjoying a drink. We will definitely be back as we only popped in for one and stayed the entire evening.

🚇 Highgate 🍺 £6.60 Staropramen ❤️ A Highgate hostelry back from the dead. . The Crown pub is located at the top end of Highgate High Street. The nearest tube is Highgate which is a ten minute walk up Southwood Lane. . This pub was built in 1861 as The Rose & Crown. In 2012 the pub sadly closed its doors and was converted to a bakery. Last month, the amazing people at The Northern Union Pub Company reopened this pubs doors, these are the same people that reopened The Winchester close by in October last year, Gods work. . I was invited to visit the pub by Jack the new Guv’nor, lovely chap who…

A very charming renovation for a pleasant Highgate boozer. There's no food available but you can order empanadas from next door. The drink selection is small but effective - they've got some lovely spritzes for summer. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The 'secret' beer garden out the back is also a lovely little sun-trap! We'll definitely be back!

This pub is Highgate's newest. Conveniently located on the high street its back garden is surprisingly large. Whilst they don't do food they're happy for customers to bring their own food in, especially from the amazing empanada place next door. In terms of service, Kyle, Joe and Jack are a hugely welcoming absolute dream team of bar staff. A visit to Highgate without popping into The Crown is barely worth doing!
