About Devonshire Arms

Pub featuring live goth & metal bands in an industrial space with posters plastered on the ceiling.

Mock Tudor Style pub. This former goth pub now caters for all music types Goth, Punk, Metal, indie and Rock. In 2014 there was a return to real ale after a period of 8 to 10 yrs absence. Renamed as the "Hobgoblin" in c2008 and as the "Devonshire Arms" in c2013, though it's always had the "Devonshire Arms" signage hanging and most people refer to it as the "Dev". The pub was bought by Tom Maloney from Enterprise around 2012 and he describes it as an alternative rock venue. The Maloney family also operate the nearby Oxford Arms.

Came from Peterborough to catch a couple of bands and because it was one of the music venues I hadn't been to in Camden. Good crowd, good beer selection and a good team running the place! Hopefully it won't be too much til my next visit.

Awesome venue, really enjoyed the more metal leaning bands for Desert Fest. Being a smaller venue, we really got to enjoy experiencing the bands up close, though the venue can fill up and there's a queue. No cocktails served, but a number of liquors, bottled beers, as well as beers on tap. Great venue for metal, friendly and helpful bartenders.

Nice place to listen to metal and have a pint. Staff are very friendly.

One of the last good remaining (subcultural) Pubs in camden. On my last visit they've played punk rock and hc classics all the time. The staff was friendly and I can't wait to go there on my next trip to London again. And: if you like all the torf whisky, you should definitely try that quiquiriqui

I really wanted to have a drink here on a Saturday evening at 11pm. The bouncer told me it’s not possible as this is a private event but the people outside told me it was not a private event. There were quite a few people outside smoking but the inside was chilled and we only wanted to have one beer. The music was great. I was told I am rude for telling him that this is not a private event. I felt very very discriminated and judged for not wearing head to toe black. I love the music and used to be a full on goth. I have never felt this mistreated in London. I think the place looks great and…
