About Ice Wharf
Modern canalside pub with outside tables, offering extensive drinks and bar menu.
Opened as a Lloyds No 1 bar in 2002, alongside Camden Lock on the south side opposite the main market, which can be accessed by the (made famous by TV) bridge; you can also enter either from Camden High St via a footpath next to the lock keeper cottage (now a Starbucks! but also housing a small lock museum) or from Jamestown Rd.
Named after the adjacent Ice Wharf – which was built in 1837 for ice imported from Norway. It's a huge place with a family area and outside seating overlooking the canal. It can be the busiest pub in Camden, particularly on a warm summer's afternoon/event.
Following CAMRA's updated definition of "real cider", pubs such as this selling for example Old Rosie and Orchard Pig or other ciders such as Thistly Cross, Stans, Gwynt Y Draig, Broadoak etc. no longer qualify for the "Real cider" tag.

What an absolutely fantastic bar, great food and drinks at an affordable price. Location is just the best ,right on Camden lock. Definitely would return and recommend a visit.

The food was a real disappointment in this place, it looked and tasted bland and the presentation did not help. Honestly there was no care when serving these dishes, I was so dissatisfied with the chicken strips I then ordered a chicken burger and that was like eating cardboard. The atmosphere was good based I think on location. The location is unmatched because it’s right opposite Camden market. I’ve walked past this place for years but never felt the urge to go in. In this occasion a friend of mine was hungry and wanted to eat here. As you can see the food looked unappealing and childish…

My husband ordered a glass of beer at the pub, while I bought a coffee at the nearby Black Sheep cafe. Despite my husband being a paying customer, I was abruptly kicked out by the security staff. It was an unpleasant and disrespectful experience, and we won’t be returning to this place. Very disappointing service—shame on them.

Great pub. Really friendly staff. There is a lot of seating indoors as well as outdoors. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance as well as a handicapped restroom. The ladies room has 2 steps when you go through the inner door. It's spacious and clean. The pub is right on the canal so the view is nice to look at, especially if there is activity on the canal. The food is delicious. Great selection of drinks to choose from. Due to the location, expect it to be busy.

Not really amazing service at all, coffee was not even hot. Service was not good to be honest. Clean and tidy tho and feels like a nice place to relax and chill before going around Camden.
