About Dukes Head

Traditional pub offering classic fare and straightforward rooms, plus free breakfast and Wi-Fi.

This is a large and imposing pub built about 1868 tucked away among the residential roads off Richmond Hill. It has a particularly impressive, Classical-style bar-back fitting which surely dates from the original build and is thus an early surviving example. The pub also offers bed & breakfast accommodation in 11 rooms. They have an 'open mic' music night on Fridays 8:30pm to midnight. Owners Pat and Mairead Dalton have run the Duke's Head pub and B&B for the last twenty seven years, and they have infused it with a blend of modern day customer service and traditional Irish charm. Restaurant open Mon to Sat from 12pm-3pm and 5pm-9.30pm. Excellent-value weekday lunches with a wide choice for just £5. Traditional Sunday roast served 12pm - 6pm. There is a small car par at the back of the pub for about 4 cars.

Stayed one night and had breakfast. Both were ok. Wasn't my crowd for a pint, though, so went elsewhere with my mate for a drink. Not a bad place to stay in Richmond and good value.

Friendly staff, clean rooms (nothing fancy but adequate accommodations). Great location, close walk to the train station.

Great location, nice and quiet. Great friendly staff. Very large rooms with a large bed. Fried breakfast in the morning is one of the best. Very well cooked and good ingredients. Pub has a cosy feeling and feels very family friendly.

Friendly service including breakfast, we took Full English and a pub downstairs. Walking distance to a tube station if needed and Richmond Green and Thames riverside.

Didn't stay in the hotel. Myself and 15 friends had lunch here after visiting The Poppy Factory earlier. I must say the food and hospitality were excellent. I had lasagne with salad and garlic bread it was delicious and well worth £7. Hospitality was excellent. The waitress was very friendly. Both she and the landlord checked if everything with the food was ok. Very clean and cosy pub which was off the main road but walking there we saw some beautiful houses. Thank you ... if I come to Richmond again I will certainly visit your pub. Xx
