About Tap Tavern
Busy, urban pub with a cosy vibe & outdoor seating offering bar food, craft beers & small-batch gin.
The 'Tap' is hidden away off the main road from Richmond's shoppers and is just a few minutes walk from the Rail Station via a pedestrian path called Waterloo Place. After a major rework from what was the Richmond Arms, it reopened in July 2017, and a welcome addition to the area. It can now be best described a a modern city bar. Three hand-pumps serving cask ale are complemented by seventeen numbered 'craft' keg taps behind the bar. A comprehensive beer (inc some cider) list can be found giving details and prices. There is also a list of spirits with 25 gins to choose from. 25ml measures served as standard. Wine is also available. A modest selection of food is served until 10pm. The main bar area is extended into a more secluded and pleasant windowless back room. A food-lift is employed to bring orders down to the bar. Toilets are located upstairs, but there is an accessible loo on the ground floor. A small number of tables and chairs are provided outside. (Dec 2021)

Tap Tavern ,Richmond. I had a wonderful experience. The bar itself is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. They offer a great selection of specials that are well worth trying. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service— Alice, in particular, was incredibly polite and kind, and I got the sense that all the staff are just as friendly and attentive. It’s clear they really care about their customers. If you're looking for a charming spot in Richmond with excellent service and a variety of drinks, Tap Tavern is definitely a place I would highly recommend.

The Tap Tavern best approached via the little alleyway because it is fun. A super pub with a range of keg beers displayed on the back bar. There are also a couple of bespoke cask ales on offer. Lovely staff behind the bar offering excellent cheerful service. The Tap Tavern is worth a visit anytime.

Impeccable is the only way to describe this place! Excellent selection of beers, including Sours, great food, not the biggest selection but there is something for everyone including a nice vegan burger! Staff are really friendly and helpful when choosing a beer. Added bonus of a upstairs Speak Easy style bar...go check them out!

Me and my friends wanted to eat a fish and chips after a long walk. We were expecting to pay around 15£ but actually found out about the menu which included a meal and a drink for only 10£ !! We ordered beers and ciders that were some of the best I’ve tried, and the fish and chips was simply delicious. The waiters are extremely friendly and welcoming too and the atmosphere is very nice. Definitely recommend this place.
