About Glasshouse

A roomy, modern pub/restaurant with a global gastro menu, plus garden with its own bar and barbecue.

Large fronted pub opposite the railway station, which is why it was called the Railway in the past. Inside there is one open area with an angled bar going back towards further seating at the rear. Caters for a more upmarket clientele. Quite modern, but in a smart traditional way, with a wood floor and varied styles of seating. A large mirror above the fireplace. Covered outside booths at rear. Live big band every five weeks. Beer range usually includes local beers. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

I really enjoyed my time at this spot, especially because of the lovely outdoor garden - with a relaxing vibe and plenty of greenery that made it a great place to unwind. The food was good overall, but what really caught my attention were the "reverse nachos." It’s definitely a creative twist on a classic, and while they were tasty, I still prefer traditional nachos. That said, it’s a cool and fun idea that’s worth trying if you’re into experimenting with new dishes. All in all, the outdoor setting made the experience even better, and the food is worth checking out, especially if you’re…

This quiet pub offers excellent pizza and boasts friendly staff. Although we used to be regulars, the lack of locals or NHS discounts compared to rival pubs has reduced our visits. It's a convenient spot for locals, but a loyalty scheme could enhance the overall experience. The pub tends to attract an older crowd, possibly due to its location, and could benefit from marketing efforts to appeal to new young professionals for a fresher atmosphere. Great garden for the summer.

3/4 - Nice local, friendly staff and decent atmosphere. Wood fire pizzas are very nice (not served on Sundays). Went for a roast off the main menu which was good but the main menu generally could do with a change up - some odd choices and the starters/snack bites are unappealing. The only issue is the price of beer - I paid £7.40 for a session IPA and had to let that sink in. Whilst it’s clear prices across London have gone up, this is an insane hike for a Greater London local and more expensive that the centre of London. You can get 2 pints in Surbiton (one might argue a little more…

We booked the gazebo at Glasshouse for my son’s christening, Joe the manager was very helpful and flexible with our needs. The place was fully booked that day, other families also booked the garden and function room for christening celebrations, despite being busy we were well looked after by their friendly staff. I would recommend their pizzas, fish and chips and korean salad. Glasshouse is now my go to pub in new malden and will book again in the future!

The Glasshouse is my go-to pub in New Malden. The pizzas are great, burgers are good, and the outside dining area is perfect for groups when the weather is nice. Comfy, cozy, and they have a boardgame selection for the kids. Good times!
