About Golden Eagle

One of the few remaining old-style Marylebone pubs, small and cosy. First licensed 1842 and rebuilt 1890, the pub now has a traditional interior with red banquette seating, carpet, bar stools, and an etched bar back mirror.

A piano sing-a-long is held every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 8.30 to 11pm; Tony "Fingers" Pearson has played the piano at the pub since 1988. Landlady Gina Vernon and her family celebrated 30 years at the pub in 2021 and the pub has been described as "the heart of Marylebone".

Up to four cask ales may be found here including sometimes less common names. Several times CAMRA's West London branch third-place Pub of the Year, most recently in 2022.

A little gem hidden in the street. I call this as a classic London city tradition pub. Good beers on offer and great staff. Great service. Love the big windows. I choose this place because of its red striking colour and I really adore it because love colours😍

Great little classic pub - hand pulled pints and spotless. I mean spotless. The bar man keeps this place in perfect order. Also - if in need the bathrooms are immaculate. ( buy a bit to support them though if you use )

Remarkably unfriendly welcome. 3 friends go out for a drink after an early finish. 2 are well established in the area. 1 has a folding bicycle, which I planned to stay outside with. We were met at the door by a tall man who said that no bikes were allowed in. We agreed and the other 2 went in. While inside another member of staff told me I couldn't keep the bike outside either. This bike is less than 10kg and less than 60x60x30cm. We were refused a second drink. The coachmakers pub across the road was much more welcoming. I would highly recommend giving The Golden Eagle a miss.

Excellent little pub, tucked away in a Marylebone back street. Nice blend of locals and tourists and truly one of the last pubs in London with a knees up on a Tuesday and Thursday!
