About Cock & Lion
First licensed in 1764 as the Lyon & Cock and rebuilt in 1880. Claimed to be the only pub in the country with this name. Quite small downstars but with another bar upstairs with first floor restaurant. The decor includes a large number of black & white photos, many of them sports-related. Four ale handpumps with a fairly mainstream offering. The pub is handy for Oxford Street shopping or a rest from it, and within easy walking distance of Bond Street tube.

We went for a Sunday roast occasion last weekend and we were delighted by the quality and taste of the food! Very generous portions as well! The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the food took about 35min to arrive. We were not in a rush and they let us know in advance it would take a bit to prepare, so we were not bothered by it, but keep an eye on this if your time is limited. We will definitely return!

Absolutely amazing pub. We were walking around after music concert and looking for a place to go for a drink. We choose this place when came across this place. Nice beers on tap, good service.and cool venue with great atmosphere.

A great place to sit and watch the football with quite a few tables available. I'd highly recommend booking in advance however. 4 out of 5 for the food however as the chicken I ordered was very small.

We sat upstairs in the lounge, great atmosphere and Nathan is an amazing waiter: I asked for a glass of water and he brought me a glass with ice and a whole bottle, which he refilled later on. He gave great advice on wine and was fast bringing out drinks every time. I would recommend it.

This place is absolutely amazing. We were walking around looking for a place to go and came across this place and they had a table so we sat down and the place was full of locals. The food was great. The beer was great and one of our party wanted a tea so the owner went upstairs to her flat and made one for her awesome customer service.
