About Great Northern Railway Tavern
19th-century pub with a monthly cinema club, a simple menu and regular live music and DJ nights.
An excellent example of the work of architects Shoebridge and Rising. Built in 1865 to serve the Hornsey Station and rebuilt in 1896. This is a single bar pub with fine original etched glass-work. Note the magnificent conservatory to the rear. In 2017, this grade II listed pub has been beautifully refurbished by new owners, Fuller's, keeping and enhancing all of its best original features removing the open kitchen adding more drinking and dining space. A display screen lists the 20 craft beers available on tap. The pub is on the London Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. Beer is served in thirds, two thirds and pints. They do not do halves.

What a spectacular pub. Excellent local boozer with great locals and a community feel but also with a tap selection that is better than almost any I’ve encountered in London. The staff were knowledgeable, personal and generous with their time and attention. One server even warned us off a keg because she couldn’t guarantee that it would give a good enough representation of the beer’s quality at that time. A truly precious gem that is both intimate and has all the facilities that you could possibly want. Brilliant

Located on Hornsey high street, this pub is stunning, a real good looking pub that's aesthetically pleasing. This is in fact my second visit. This time we decided to have a quick bite, it was the spicy chicken wings and triple cooked chips that were calling out to us. The chicken wings were accompanied with a blue cheese dip and the triple cooked chips were hot, crispy and fluffy. We finished it off with the sticky toffee pudding served with salted caramel buffalo milk ice cream. Honestly one of the best I've tasted, not too sweet, paired with the ice cream it was to die for, trust me, trust…

Lovely pub however do not accept cash. Cash is legal tender and preferred by many. I’m sure this pub considers itself to be hip and trendy by being card only but I feel it is to its detriment. I enjoyed my visit here but was somewhat put out by having to use my debit card when I had a wallet full of £20s.

Great local pub with a nice selection of beers. Bar service can be slow at times due to only 1 person serving. Probabaly the most pricey pub in the surrounding area. Fabulous garden area, which could do with a bit of a deep or more regular clean!

Great pub. Very friendly bar maid gave excellent recommendations on beers and made me and my friends feel very welcome last night. A lot of gluten free beer options available on my visit as well.
