About Karamel N22
Global cuisine, live music, comedy and drama in a vibrant space also hosting regular exhibitions.
March 2024 - now trading as Karamel N22.
27/11/22 - went past Karamel. It still exists according to their website but the main performance space and bar is now MAAD, a vegan restaurant. It looked like a bright, relaxed cafe more than a restaurant. It still counts as a pub, we think, as the bar is retained. No handpumps that we could see, about four or five keg fonts. We think that the space is still used for performances by Karamel so we have retained their soc media links. The MAAD website has an events link through to Karamel. We could not check if you needed to eat to use the bar. We think it remains closed on Mon/Tues but otherwise hours are a bit of a guess.
Cafe and events space in the Wood Green Cultural Quarter. If a ticketed event is being held admission may be restricted to ticket holders. If so carry on down to The Prince.

I came here for a Sunday Roast and it was absolutely fantastic. There were two roast options and I went for the almond wellington, which not only was super tasty, but had a really nice texture as well. It came with all the trimmings (as you can see): roasties, mashed swede, spring greens, red cabbage, peas and a lovely little stuffing ball. The only thing that could make it better is if they were able to make a Yorkshire pudding to go with it. The space itself was nice and open with lots of light, and looked like it would be cool to go there in the evening. The staff was very friendly…

A wonderfully friendly vegan restaurant, I especially recommend their Sunday roasts with local beer. This is a hidden gem in Wood Green!

Great place and venue for food, cake and drinks. We played games at a birthday party and had a lot of fun!

Without a doubt the best vegan Sunday roast in town! I had the pleasure to visit yesterday and I will be a regular for sure! Both the but roast and the “chicken” and mushroom pie were so tasty! The portion are huge so go hungry! Not to mention the Cheese platter, it was the best fake blue cheese and Brie I ve ever taste! as a vegan, I really couldn’t ask for more! Looking forward to try their burgers and pizza too! Amazing job guys!!

What a lovely place to be. The service is par excellence as the management and chef are very kind and friendly. The food portions are extremely generous and its affordable. We tried chowmein, pizza, cakes, hot choc, and thali. Everything is vegan and it's a great place for parties with a separate DJ and dance or performance area with door and a nice lounge area too.
