About Mitre
Large red brick pub with outside terrace for brasserie-style dining and Sunday roasts.
First licensed in 1845 and built on the site of the original Notting Hill Farm, this is a large inter-war site rebuilt in 1930. Some original features remain, such as the words Off Licence to the side frontage, and polished grey granite surrounds to doors and windows. Now a food-led pub advertising itself as a bar/brasserie. The front half of the bar has polished floorboards, a large sports screen and a pool table at the side. The raised, railed in rear section is carpeted and contains the serving counter. Reverted to its original name in 2004 after spells as the Raj and Rat & Parrot.

Excellent fish and chips- fries were really crispy & perfectly cooked too. Nice big chunks of pickle in tartar sauce. Mushy peas were just plain pea flavored. The fish pie was delicious. Service was pretty good. They were busy and it took time to get the server to help us. I would definitely go back.

We regularly visit Mitre, especially since the renovation, and have always admired their new kitchen menu and the food quality. The service is top-notch and always very attentive. However, yesterday, we visited Mitre with family who came over to visit. Sadly, the Sunday roast has gone back to its awful standard from before the renovations, and it was very embarrassing. We have been highly recommending them to all friends and family, but yesterday, we witnessed awful Sunday roast dishes, which is very sad. It was that bad. I only have this image below to share. I have images from our…

Every time we come to London, we visit the Mitre at Holland Park and it always lives up to our expectations. The Fish n’ Chips is simply out of this world!
