About Nag's Head

Pub with dark wood floorboards and panelling, for pool, darts and big screen live sports.

Closed for a refurbishment in Feb 2018 and has now reopened under its former name. Occupying a major corner site in the centre of Wood Green, an impressive exterior leads to a somewhat barn-like interior, a vast drinking den; food is served daily 10.00 - 22.00. It's a lively place, with several drinking areas, some booths for a bit more intimacy, a table football machine and at the back a pool table and outside smoking area. Sports screens all around. House DJ Fri/Sat from 21.00 to closing.

Decent pub with good food. Has a small outside garden in the back as well as a pool table and darts. Standard price for drinks and food. I like the option to order online. Service was okay. Couldn't say anything about the atmosphere as I went there during the day. I've been here many times over the decades and apart from the management changes, the interior is nicer than it used to be. The smell is the same though!

Absolutely amazing experience here with the Deputy Manager Shannon, who made me feel very welcome, recommended me the Stronbow Dark Fruit along with the Bacon Cheeseburger. Her manager Natasha was equally amazing 👏 😍

£7.50 for this...is a tad to much if you ask me(decent taste I'll admit)! Similar thing in Whetherspoon for half...beer and drinks same as other pubs :)

They have 2 pool table, board games and such a good selection of drinks. The bar team were so friendly. I had such a good time when I visited with my friend 😊

After finishing work today I decided to meet a friend in Wood Green to see a film at the local cinema. I decided to meet my friend in the Nags Head for a quick drink before the movie. As I got there a bit early I went to the Sainsbury’s across the road first to get a bottle of water to take into the movie. I got a second one for my friend. On arriving at the pub a team of door staff (about 5 uniformed men) were all standing menacingly outside the main entrance giving the pub all the welcoming charm of Pentonville Prison. One of the men asked to search my shopping bag - something I’m very used…
