About Princes Head
Rustic-style 1700s pub set on the green serving cask ales and classic British fare, plus TV sport.
A traditional pub located down a passageway off the main street, right on the corner of the Green. Expect to find the pub busy all day because of its location. It has a deceptively spacious interior and attracts a slightly older crowd than the neighbouring Cricketers pub. The walls are wood panelled and the front bay window affords a good view of the Green. Some of the windows and glass panels still retail their etched decoration. To the rear can be found the pub's restaurant area plus a few intimate seating spaces. A good range of pub food is available including bar snacks and sandwiches from noon 'till nine every day. A guest cask ale is sometimes put on. Sports fans can enjoy live televised matches. When not in use the screens are covered in chalk boards indicating future dates when games will be shown. Outside there are a number of benches to sit and view the idyllic Green. The pub now attracts fans from around the world, because of the popularity of the Apple TV's American sports comedy-drama, Ted Lasso, as it was featured and filmed (called The Crown & Anchor) in the show.

Great pub. A really great selection of food, beers and wine. Fun ambience since it is the pub from Ted Lasso so there is some memorabilia here and there. Pretty large dining area and a very busy bar. Large outdoor area out front to sit or stand. Had a fantastic bottle of wine with our meal, and the desserts were excellent. Servers were very friendly.

Came for Ted Lasso, Stayed for the food. The service was great, really friendly staff. This is the pub from Ted Lasso but they don’t make a huge deal of it like the rest of Richmond. We had a few drinks (reasonably priced for London) and then had lunch. The food was superb, one of the nicest burgers I’ve had in London. All fairly priced for this part of the world and served quickly, well presented and great customer service. Nothing more you can ask for

Super cool to come here after watching Ted Lasso. The show has made them super busy, but they have definitely embraced the fame. Got a pint and took it to the green. Went on the weekend and tables were completely full, so be aware. Didn’t get to try any food but seemed like everything going out looked good. Would definitely recommend to any Ted Lasso fan, official store right next door!

The service was very friendly and pleasant. All the staff we encountered were great. We ate here too, and food was a good standard, good portions and tasty. Lots of people are visiting because of the association with the Ted Lasso series (us too) right next to Richmond green so a nice setting.

What a brilliant experience we had today at the Prince’s Head Hotel in Richmond. We arrived just after 12 and were greeted by Thomas. He could not have been any more accommodating and helpful. He seated us at a cracking table that looked over the memorable table with all Tel Lasso memorabilia. Our lunch was brilliant. We couldn’t go past the braised beef pie with mushy mint peas and mashed potato and gravy. Wow wow wow. Again Thomas’s and his colleagues service was first class. When we were leaving Thomas grabbed the Richmond scarf off the door so we could take it out the front of the Pub to…
