The special Sunday menu meant they did not have their regular beef fillet (apparently excellent), which was why we'd gone in the first place, but still, a lovely relaxing experience in a pretty location with a peaceful ambience. They were busy (but not noisy) and gave us a table inside despite not having a reservation. Generous portions, well presented dishes, cider on tap, kind service - we left feeling very happy.

The Britannia on the wonderfully named Brewers Lane in Richmond. A great little 'pub', more of a restaurant really but busy and happy. Great staff and a wonderful welcome. Happily embed a pint of lager and noted a couple of casks on offer. This is a busy, popular place focussed on welcoming families and friends to dine and relax. A great place.

Good food and drink selection, comfortable outdoor spaces but the service needs improvement to match the place, atmosphere and their cooking, perhaps a bit more professional and attractive

We enjoyed the Orkney scallops but probably wouldn't order the seafood soup again. My Halibut main was well cooked, but overshadowed by a great little fish cake on the side. The highlight was the Duck Wellington - flavour was excellent. It was a memorable meal although not a perfect one. It certainly felt that their philosophy was "make them wait and they'll appreciate the food more" perhaps?

This pub in a tiny alley is such a great spot to enjoy Richmond’s sun. We booked it for lunch, and got the chance to sit on the terrace which was really nice and cosy! The service was great, super nice and welcoming. The food was great, especially the chicken liver parfait and the chicken breast. My only “barely” negative comment is the cheese soufflé was tasty but the sauce was a bit too much and liquidy that it almost became like a soup… but it was too much mustard taste for me to drink it as a soup. I would also recommend putting more ice cubes in the gin and tonic on a hot day, so it…
