Pub is close to the Lea Valley Ice Centre .Now part of the Geronimo division of Young’s, this pub has gone more upmarket. The beer range varies but this usually includes something from Young's . Love this pub! Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lovely food (pork roast and choc cake were sensational), great selection of drinks and a wonderful atmosphere in a pub full of dogs and families. The canal view is idyllic and plenty of space to sit outside when it’s warm enough.

Went there for the Sunday roast, so amazing. I had mushroom wellington - very nice, but the side vegetables are what really impressed! Great local pub atmosphere, by the river and with by the river terrace for drinks, lively outdoor burger tent, and cozy dining space indoor. What I will remember about Clapton!

What a cool spot right on the river. Ducks and canal boats and comfy outdoor seating. Food was great and service was super nice. They also have an easy parking lot.

This PUB offers a delightful canal-side experience, combining a scenic location with a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff and vibrant ambiance, this pub has become a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. One of the highlights of the Princess of Wales is its varied menu, which includes popular dishes with creative vegetarian and vegan options. The food was nice, however, I encountered an issue with the menu on their app, which was not updated. This resulted in receiving different fries than what I wanted. Additionally, I found that table service through the app tends to take longer…

I tried this pub several times and it was always a nice experience. This time we had a nice Mac and cheese with truffles and phenomenal Pear & plum crumble with ice cream. The staff is well chosen, super kind, helpful, fast. The atmosphere is great, seating in front of a river is very relaxing. The place is also super dog friendly, there is even a dog ice cream 🙂. I will continue to go as much as possible. Thanks!
