About Rose & Crown
Recently refurbished but retaining a dark panelled walnut bar on the ground floor which remains a traditional pub.
The new first floor dining room is a great addition.
On Sundays a traditional roast dinner is served, with all the trimmings.
A good selection of cask ales is available and the pub now offers a food menu for guests. Nibbles such as the lamb sausage roll have been selected to accompany your chosen pint.
With a fireplace and board games, it is a cosy pub during the colder months, while also having a front terrace for drinks in the sunshine.
The pub lies at the heart of Clapham's picturesque Old Town and is notable for its fine tiled Simonds' facade.
Several bus routes stop nearby and Clapham Common Underground is less than five minutes walk from the pub.

I love a good, proper pub, and The Rose and Crown has to be one of the last true establishments in London. With its wood-paneled walls, expertly engineered draught taps, and branded glasses, it exudes a touch of class. Until recently, I hadn’t tried the food, but after polishing off a full roast, I can confidently say the service was exceptional as well. On a particularly hot day, they made a special space for me outside, and I felt both welcomed and truly appreciated the meal. Very, very good. This is a must-visit, and a regular spot for me

We had lunch for two and food was of very good quality with friendly and helpful staff. Lovely venue, spacious, with large windows, tables outside and enviable space. Great place in the heart of Clapham! When in the area, surely place to visit!

Booked in advance for a Sunday lunchtime and was glad that I did, this place was super busy! I could see why - lovely decor and overall aesthetic. My friend went for the Sunday roast (lamb) and I went for the veggie breakfast as I hadn’t eaten yet. Mine was okay but I did suffer from food envy, my friends roast looked AMAZING. Very generous portions. I’ll definitely be going back again to try the roast myself!

Food is great but the let down was the service. We told a colleague that we were going for Sunday Roast at the Rose & Crown earlier in the day and got some feedback "just be prepared that the service will be slow". And slow it was! It was not slow but it's been awhile since we have felt we were ignored at our table when we dine out. Staff walk pass through the dining area looking at the floor instead of checking if someone needs assistance or wants to order something. The food was great but they really need to improve their service. We paid £130 for Sunday Roast for two(didn't have dessert…

Nice pub with a good atmosphere . The staff were friendly , helpful and efficient. A little bit pricey, even by Clapham standards, but the food was good , although you need to choose carefully if you want any green veg . The Treacle Tart was ace.
