About Royal Standard
A large prominent pub, this venue attracts a mixed crowd in a good-natured atmosphere. Re-opened in May 2015 after a refurbishment which has added pastel coloured contemporary décor and new seating and tables and definitely a greater emphasis on the food offering. 5 handpumps. Latterly this pub has operated a card payment ONLY, no cash accepted policy.

A nice pub with plenty of options for drinks such as draft beer and cider. Also a relatively large food menu. Can recommend their nachos. Sweet and friendly bartender who was very welcoming and helpful.

🚇 Westcombe Park 🍺 £5.95 Pravha The Royal Standard is located close to Blackheath Common and Greenwich Park. The nearest station is Westcombe Park mainline, it’s a ten minute walk to get here. This imposing oxblood tiled Blackheath boozer was built in 1855. Since May 2015, this pub became part of Mitchell & Butlers “Castle” pub chain. This is a sizeable pub which has been knocked through to become one bar with a variety of different spaces. The centrally positioned servery acts like a divide between an open area designed for entertainment and cosy seating areas to the right. The decor is…

If one has to give a definition of what a real contemporary pub is, I would suggest that Royal Standard is the one. Besides that it has and serves variety of food and drinks typical for the pubs, they have done extremely well in presenting local art on their walls and it does make all the difference. Staff and guests are super friendly and relaxed.

Love this pub! I've been here on a few occasions and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. The cocktail menu has a fab selection (beyond the usual 5 'classics' that you find in most pubs') ...the food is great and the staff are attentive. Fab location and deffo one I'll be revisiting (especially for the events)

Had a great day/night in this pub for our works Xmas meal. The staff were amazing being so friendly and helpful. The landlady Caroline couldn’t do more for us and made our meal and time really nice. We will be coming back on a regular basis and couldn’t recommend it more. The guy with the tash was very friendly & helpful as well 😊
