About Sporting Page

Spacious pub with dark-wood decor showing TV sports, serving real ale and offering British pub food.

Rebuilt in 1964 via architects Chesterton & Son as the Red Anchor, a Watney house, on the site of the 1856 Odell Arms. Renamed in 1989; a vestige of the Victorian era remains in the salvaged Victorian lamp over the door of this pub in the back streets between the Fulham Road and the Embankment. Now part of the small London-based Market Taverns chain, it has become a comfortable one bar pub with a friendly feel. Three handpumps offer a choice of up to three cask ales, often including some from London breweries. Sporting themed prints and memorabilia adorn the walls. Keep an eye on the pub website for offers.

Went out with friends last minute Saturday night, bar was packed as per usual but service is always efficient and found a table eventually. Reuben was great bartender that night and great fun! Taught me how to poor my first baby Guinness!

Love the woodfire pizza. One of the best around. Definitely worth a visit and a draft beer.

Nice & easy pub. Many screens to watch sports. Nice staff. Good mixture of modernity and tradition

Just had a pint here. I used to be the chef 32yrs ago.Sadly its not what it used to be,its a bit tired and could do with a face lift inside.Food dosnt feel like its a strong point anymore. Fine for a drink as has a good crowd but wouldnt rush back.

Hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve had in London. The smoked pork tacos and loaded fries were excellent too.
