About Thomas Cubitt

Modern and traditional British pub grub in oak-floored country-house bar and elegant dining room.

This is an attractive, modern ‘pub and dining room’ with separate restaurant rooms. In addition to bar food, the dining room is open for lunch and dinner. The ground floor around the U-shaped bar has unusual squared glass windows and extensive wood panelling and is adorned with stuffed pheasants and deers’ heads. Tennis at Wimbledon is the only sport allowed on TV. The pub organises charity runs.

Listed in the Estrella Damm top 100 gastropub awards 2022. Note that this is very much a gastropub and drinkers-only may be encouraged to sit outside at busy times.

Cubitt operates a small chain of central London venues of a similar food-oriented nature.

I adore this pub! The service is exceptional, and the food is simply delightful. I enjoyed a chicken Sunday roast accompanied by chips; I opted for them since the potatoes were fried in duck fat, which isn’t really to my taste. We were seated on the top floor, where the decor is charming!

In April, we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful Sunday Roast at the renowned Thomas Cubitt restaurant in London. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the exquisite Duck Liver Parfait With Five Spice Onion Jam And Duck Fat Brioche. The parfait was silky smooth, with a rich, decadent flavor that was perfectly balanced by the tangy Five Spice Onion Jam. The accompaniment of the buttery, flavorful duck fat brioche was a masterstroke, creating a…

Was recommended by a friend that lives in London and did not disappoint! Delicious food, nice ambience and conveniently located in the theater district. We went for lunch before the theater. Service was a bit slow (we had to ask for the bill multiple times) but wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't have another commitment afterwards. Seems like it would be a great place for a long, boozy, lunch!

This had it all quintessential Britain and the aristocracy in one. The food was delicious right the way through. The staff were energetic and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Overall I could not recommend enough.

Lovely pub. We were only here for the hawkstone beer but was great. Got a table outside quite easily. Nice area. No complaints
