About Walnut Tree
This popular pub branch serves-up real ales with regular food deals and a nod to local heritage.
Large, contemporary Wetherspoon pub, converted in 1997 from a gymnasium, carpet retailers and a co-operative store. On the long bar, 12 hand pumps serve up to eight guest ales and real cider. There are plenty of tables inside and out, and TV for major
sporting events. Opposite the bar, a raised seating area is available free of charge for meetings or parties. There is an unusual sculpture at the beginning of the bar

A nice large pub which has friendly and attentive staff. Had reason to drop in for a breakfast a couple of times just before Christmas. A decent cooked traditional breakfast and refillable tea or coffee for £4.99 can’t complain at that price!!

Found plastic in my food and hair in my friends curry. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a refund and made our dessert herself. Hopefully mistake isn't made again, thank you to that manager 🫶

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your pub. While enjoying our time, a server brought cocktails to our table and left them without asking if we had ordered them. Assuming they were part of our order, we drank the cocktails. Shortly after, the manager approached us and stated that we must pay for the drinks or face a ban from the pub. This was both surprising and disappointing, as we had not ordered those drinks, and the situation was not handled professionally. I believe this could have been resolved in a more polite and…

I didn’t eat , but the food in these Wetherspoon places is a bit hit and miss . It’s t was busy lunchtime . But the girl who served me could smile a little 🙂 But I must say a a pint of nice cold draught Guiness for less than £3.50 was a real bargain 😀 Never seen that sticker in the toilets before , but brilliant. Stay safe everyone 🙏🏾

If you order then chicken bites basket, then mix the ketchup and mayo together then put the chicken nugget in oh my goodness it tastes so good I’m an adult and I still order this you seriously need to try this. I’ve been ordering this dish for 10 years and I never get tired of it! Even then, it still gets better with fat fries, a yummy British classic. Plus, they give you a side of coleslaw and soy sauce (I think? Not sure if it’s something else) with it I love this place and I’ve been going here since I was 3 years old. Seriously this supposed “average English pub” will truly give you a…
