About Sir Alfred Hitchcock Hotel

Cosy redbrick hotel offering simple rooms, plus a rustic pub & restaurant with outdoor seating.

One of the few pubs in the East London area with accommodation. Overlooking Epping Forest. Real log fires. Various alcoves leading off from the bar. Photos of 'The Master' (who was born in Leytonstone) and stars of his films on the walls. There are 2 covered but not enclosed outdoor "smoking" areas to each side of the entrance steps. The balcony area at rear (last seen many years ago) is no more - now a restaurant extension at bar level.

Great value for money hotel, the room was very spacious for one. The bathroom was also good, my only issue was with temperature controls on the shower, it was either very cold or red hot. Would stay here again though due to the location, convenience and value.

Loved the steak, they didn't have the one we wanted but the waiter was great and the substitute was enjoyable. Loved the wine, would recommend!

Was at the rear window restaurant for a residents social. What a lovely place! I really enjoyed the menu and wine list and we were extremely well looked after by Ruth and her colleagues. Make the effort and get yourselves to Whipps Cross Road to try their hospitality and food/wine. Highly recommended!
